“The Credit Suisse Russian Open Polo Championship” will be held on September 6, 2009. The Championship is organized by Moscow Polo Club with the sponsorship of the Swiss bank “Credit Suisse” (general sponsor) and the British company “Ahmad Tea” (team sponsor).
This is the fourth year that this tournament takes place and it has already become traditional and one of the most prestigious event in a polo sport calendar. This year the Championship will be held at a new golf and polo club "Tseleevo", situated near Moscow on the fields specially prepared for game worthy of kings.
This event gives magnificent possibilities for development of partner relations.

The 4th annual “Argentina Polo Cup” took place on July 11-12, 2009 at Moscow Polo Club in Aksenovo. The tournament was organized by the Moscow Polo Club in partnership with Argentina embassy and the British company “Ahmad Tea”.
The Argentina Polo Cup has always been distinguished by its warm, friendly and a casual atmosphere, if the word «casual» can ever be used to describe such a prestigious and glamorous sport as polo. Being rivals during over competitions, the members of Moscow Polo Club and Russian Polo Club truly enjoy playing together in mix teams at Argentina Polo Cup. Three teams competed for the title of the winners’ podium: MALBEK, MATE (Ahmad Tea) and TANGO.
MALBEK team won the tournament. Anastasia Huaco was awarded “ The Best Player”. “Rocket” was recognized as “The Best Pony” of the tournament.
During the game the guests enjoyed excellent weather conditions and the traditional Argentinean asado (barbecue), wine and very finest teas given by “Ahmad Tea”.

Moscow Polo Club and St. Tropez Polo Club played to a 6–6 tie in a fast and cleanly played match with practically no penalties. The field at St. Tropez is one of the best we have ever seen. The first chukker went to the home team 2–0. At the end of the third chukker MPC had come back to tie the match at 4–4. The final chukker was high scoring with each team putting two goals through leaving the final score at 6–6. The event was rated at 8–12 goals handicap.

The team from Moscow featured Alejandro Traverso (5) and Hernan Traverso (4) along with Misha Rodzianko (1) Tasia Rodzianko (-1) and Alexei Rodzianko (-1). Team Handicap 9. Ksenia Koltysheva made the trip to support the team along with Inna Rodzianko.

St. Tropez featured the owner of the St Tropez Polo Club Corinne Schuler (0) and her supporting patron and professionals. The team was rated 10 goals.

The evening dinner at the Club featured a fantastic fashion show by Dior which presented its fall collection for the first time.

We look forward to hosting Dr. Corinne Schuler and the St. Tropez team in Moscow for a return match.

A second consecutive victory for the Moscow Polo Club 6–5 on the Queens ground! Alejandro Traverso, Adolfo Casabal, David Geovanis and Misha Rodzianko won a hard fought victory in the closing seconds on a goal by Alejandro Traverso just before the final bell. Misha Rodzianko was awarded best player as he outdueled the opposing team’s 1 goaler Guy Schwartzenbach. 

There was no doubt the Guards Polo Club side came to play as they quickly took the lead, but by the end of the second chukker the battle was back on even terms and from there until the final bell, the outcome was never clear. 

The weather was glorious and the dinner at the new clubhouse delicious. Russia’s ambassador Yuri Fedotov and Princess Olga Romanova again presented the prizes to the participants. Colonel Paul Belcher Chairman of the Guards Polo Club reminded us at dinner that we had a long way yet to go from 10 goals to the top level of polo, but cheered us with the news that the dinner following our polo challenge was the first really large event in the new clubhouse. The new clubhouse is indeed excellent in its taste and execution.

Notably at the end of the match our team had the three most valuable players from the three most recent years of Ivan the Terrible competition: Misha Rodzianko 2009, Alejandro Traverso 2008, and Adolfo Casabal (2007 for Guards).

24^th of May, «Ahmad Tea Polo Cup» — the first polo tournament in 2009

On May, 24th, on the territory of Central Moscow Hippodrome, at the Great International Horse Club «Pradar», there will be the first polo tournament in 2009 — «Ahmad Tea Polo Cup"The tournament is organized by Moscow Polo Club. Three teams participate in «Ahmad Tea Polo Cup»:

• Ahmad Tea — General partner of the tournament. The British company has been supporting polo in Russia as it understands what the true aristocratic pleasures are;

• Land Rover. The sponsor of this team is famous all around the world producer of prestigious off-road cars;· 

• Moscow Polo Club team is very experienced and strong team as the club manager and the chief trainer of the club Hernan Traverso is the professional player from Argentina with handicap 4.
